CosmoCom Receives $15.3 Million Mezzanine Equity Funding Led By SAIC

Milestone Investment Strengthens Contact Center Technology Leader

Hauppauge, New York, November 2, 1999 - CosmoCom, Inc., the leader in IP contact center technology, today announced that it has received more than $15.3 million in mezzanine equity funding from investors led by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), the nation’s largest employee-owned high-tech research and engineering firm. The SAIC strategic investment closely follows the September 1999 agreement enabling SAIC to resell CosmoCall Universe in the context of its system integration activities. Several previous investors in CosmoCom also participated in the round.

The funding is a significant milestone for CosmoCom and a key indicator of investor satisfaction with the company’s product offerings, market strategy, and business outlook. The proceeds will fund CosmoCom’s growth in all areas, including sales, marketing, and ongoing development to maintain the worldwide technology leadership position of its flagship product, CosmoCall Universe, the most comprehensive IP-based customer interaction system on the market today.
