ipVerse has completed extensive interoperability testing between the ipVerse ControlSwitch and CosmoCom's CosmoCall Universe VOIP connection server (VCS), making IP-based unified contact center solutions available to its service provider customers. Service providers can now offer enhanced contact management features such as interactive voice response (IVR), web, e-mail, real-time reporting and live multi-media IP sessions to subscribers served through many different types of networks. This is made possible by the ipVerse ControlSwitch's unique ability to mediate between a variety of protocols such as media gateway control protocol (MGCP), session initiation protocol (SIP), H.323 and global PSTN/SS7 signaling variants.
"IP Call Center is one of the killer applications that will drive faster migration to softswitch based packet networks and we are glad to be working with CosmoCom in bringing their unified call center applications to our service provider customers,'' states R. Paul Singh, Vice President of Business Development, ipVerse.
"The difference between all-IP and legacy contact center technology is that all-IP technology is network-hostable,'' states Erik Laurence, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, CosmoCom. "This means that network service providers now have an opportunity to introduce profitable new services to their business clients. Our partnership with ipVerse extends this opportunity to their service provider customers while providing further justification for the telecom industry's transition to converged networks.''
ipVerse works with OSA partners to demonstrate interoperability and engage in joint marketing and sales calls to simplify the vendor decision-making process for service providers and facilitate deployment of complete, working solutions. By partnering with leading vendors of media devices, application servers, back-office systems and systems integration services, ipVerse enables complete solutions that offer customers the flexibility to choose best-of-breed network elements for their next generation switching solutions.
