CosmoCom Enhances All-IP Contact Center Platform CosmoCall Universe  

Version 4.3 enables next-generation predictive dialing, updates key system features

MELVILLE, NY – June 4, 2002 – CosmoCom, Inc., a leading provider of IP (Internet Protocol) based call center solutions, today announced the latest upgrade for its flagship product, CosmoCall Universe. Available immediately, Version 4.3 updates key features of CosmoCom’s all-IP contact center platform to benefit service provider customers.

CosmoCall Universe is an all-IP contact center platform that connects an organization with its client base through rich multimedia, multi-channel options, including telephone, voice and video over IP, keyboard chat, IVR (Interactive Voice Response), email, voicemail and fax. The platform is optimized for service providers to enable delivery of high-value call center services on a hosted basis. Hosted call center solutions are in growing demand and help service providers reach mid-tier customers as well as larger enterprises.

Upgrade Features

This latest upgrade integrates CosmoCall Universe’s IP-based ACD (Automatic Call Distributor) with the recently announced CosmoDialer application to increase agent productivity for outbound calls. This greatly improves performance over legacy dialers while delivering the industry’s lowest abandoned call rates.

CosmoConnector, an application that helps integrate CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solutions with CosmoCall Universe has also been enhanced, enabling support of outbound calls. Other features include voice enhancements such as the newly streamlined CosmoCorder multimedia recording feature and optimized agent interaction with the PC sound system.

Continuing the trend toward replacing the telephone with the PC, CosmoCom has introduced a new graphical user interface (GUI) for the agent soft-phone.  CosmoCom’s best yet, the new GUI makes it easier than ever before to take advantage of the PC’s ever-evolving sophisticated telephony circuitry.
