COSMOCOM ANNOUNCES OPENING OF THE CENTRAL EUROPEAN OFFICE IN FRANKFURT, GERMANY


MELVILLE, N.Y. and FRANKFURT, GERMANY, September 22, 2000 - CosmoCom, Inc. the leader in Internet Protocol (IP) contact center technology, announced today that the company established a German subsidiary, CosmoCom GmbH. The Frankfurt office is CosmoCom's third office to open in Europe in less than a year.

CosmoCom's expansion has been driven by dramatic developments in electronic commerce and the implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives that are forcing the traditional call centers to evolve into next generation multi-media contact centers enabling customers to reach companies via any medium they choose: voice, fax, video, e-mail or the Internet.

"Our expansion into Germany is part of the continuing development of our presence, both domestically and internationally," stated CosmoCom President and CEO, Ari Sonesh. "We have been active in Germany for the past six months and the market interest in our CosmoCall multi-media contact center has been overwhelming."

The Frankfurt office is managed by Christian Franke, who brings a deep understanding of telecommunications, data networks and the solutions market to CosmoCom. He says, "The role of the office is to develop closer relationships and smoother business practices with our customers, potential customers, and partners. We already have live installations in Germany and Switzerland and wanted to ensure the best possible support for the region."

The German office is the focal point for sales and support activities in the central European region providing support to the company's German partners like Danet Internet Solutions a leading consulting and software development company that is 30% owned by Deutsche Telekom, and Siemens Business Systems, a worldwide full-service provider of solutions for a diversity of industries.

"We already have a strong sales and sales-support team with many years of experience in sales of CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software in the Frankfurt office," said Sabine Niedenthal, who is responsible for sales in Central Europe. "We will respond to the strong demand in the marketplace by continuing to build a team of experts in sales and technology."

CosmoCom GmbH, located at Darmstadter Landstrase 213, 60598 in Frankfurt, joins other European locations in the UK and Paris, France to complete the company's coverage of Europe, Middle East and Africa. A Tokyo office has also been recently established.
