Team adding IP to telephone support

osmoCom and IHS Helpdesk Service have partnered to bring two new dimensions to help-desk operations. Using CosmoCom's newly developed CosmoCall software, IHS customers will be able to benefit from IP network-based communication and desktop sharing during help-desk calls.

"CosmoCall is a revolutionary, software-based IP call-center technology that works as either a complete alternative or a seamless adjunct to traditional telephone call centers," said Eric Rabinowitz, president of IHS, which provides help-desk insourcing and outsourcing. Allowing the user and the support representative to share the desktop and communicate over IP should reduce the number and length of live help-desk calls.
