Team adding IP to telephone support
osmoCom and IHS
Helpdesk Service have partnered to bring two new dimensions to
help-desk operations. Using CosmoCom's newly developed CosmoCall
software, IHS customers will be able to benefit from IP
network-based communication and desktop sharing during help-desk
calls.
"CosmoCall is a revolutionary, software-based IP call-center
technology that works as either a complete alternative or a seamless
adjunct to traditional telephone call centers," said Eric
Rabinowitz, president of IHS, which provides help-desk insourcing
and outsourcing. "We are confident that many of our customers can
use CosmoCall to improve the efficiency and productivity of their
help desks."
Allowing the user and the support representative to share the
desktop and communicate over IP should reduce the number and length
of live help-desk calls. Such collaboration should also help support
reps solve problems faster. All of these outcomes would result in
