CosmoCom Gets $15.3-Million Mezzanine Round

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -- CosmoCom, which develops a call-center platform for the Web and distributed customer service, said it secured a mezzanine round for about $15.3 million led by new investor Science Applications International, a high-tech research and engineering firm. Previous investors IDB Holding, S-7 Assoc, Wheatley Partners, Wheatley Foreign Partners, and several individual investors also participated.

Funds will be used for sales, marketing, and product development.

In September, SAIC signed an agreement with CosmoCom to resell its IP-based customer interaction system, called CosmoCall Universe, during its system integration activities.
