platforms, today announced that GateLinx, a provider of Internet
based kiosk systems, has selected CosmoCom's call center platform,
CosmoCall Universe, as the backbone of their new generation,
web-integrated customer care solution. GateLinx plans to roll
out Internet based kiosks systems, called ComPorts, to retail
stores, essentially creating a "virtual" store-within-a-store.
Consumers will be able to walk into a retail store and order
services such as DirectTV, Sprint PCS, ADT Home Security or MSN
Internet via GateLinx kiosks. When customers require assistance,
they will be able to access on-line, real-time customer support
utilizing CosmoCall Universe as the core on-line customer support
engine. ComPort systems will be located in such settings as
Radioshack and Blockbuster Video stores.

heart of the CosmoCall system queues and routes all these session
types using a single set of business rules to a customer service
representatives trained for handling specified inquiries, and
