CosmoCom Introduces CosmoConnector for Rapid and Seamless Integration of CosmoCall Universe with Leading CRM Applications August 2, 2001 — CosmoCom, the leading provider of new generation universal access call center platforms, today announced the availability of CosmoConnector™, an out-of-the-box integration enabler for packaging CosmoCall Universe™ with leading CRM applications such as Siebel and Onyx. CosmoConnector now makes it possible to integrate CosmoCall Universe to a leading CRM package by supplying a handful of parameters using a wizard-based setup tool. This simplicity offers significant time, cost and complexity savings versus a traditional consultant integration project. ``The key to CosmoConnector's easy to implement and robust integration capability is that it is based on standard CCI (Computer-to-Computer Integration) technology rather than Legacy CTI (Computer-Telephony Integration) technology,'' says Steve Kowarsky, Executive Vice President at CosmoCom. ``CTI is a complex, expensive and often proprietary technology that strives to integrate the disparate worlds of computing systems with telephone systems. By contrast, CCI is based on open standards such as Microsoft COM objects and XML and is consistent with Microsoft's .NET infrastructure, widely regarded as the future standard for the integration of computing systems.''
