TV Travel Shop deploys CosmoCom software in contact center

TV Travel Shop Germany GmbH & Co. KG, the creator of a TV channel that sells holiday travel services, has built a customer-communications center based on CosmoCall Universe, Melville, N.Y.-based CosmoCom Inc.'s IP-based multimedia call-center software, the companies announced today.

TV Travel Shop integrated CosmoCall Universe with San Mateo, Calif.-based Siebel Systems Inc.'s Siebel CRM System and the Merlin booking system.

CosmoCall Universe can route incoming calls, e-mail and faxes to the PCs of more than 140 holiday agents. The CosmoCom software supports up to 8,000 customer-service representatives, handles up to 500,000 calls per hour and manages 50,000 contacts at the same time, the companies said.
