CosmoCom, Cable & Wireless, Ezeehelp deliver call-center system for British teenage helpline

CosmoCom Inc., a Melville, N.Y.-based provider of IP-based contact-center services, London-based telecommunications group Cable & Wireless and Ezeehelp Ltd. have teamed to deliver a hosted contact-center system to the University for Industry for the British Department for Education and Skills' new teenage helpline.

The system, Connexions Direct, is powered by CosmoCall Universe, and enables teens, parents and teachers to seek advice through a toll-free phone call, short message service, e-mail or real-time Internet chat.

Connexions Direct has provided teens age 13 to 19 with confidential information and counseling on topics related to the transition from adolescence to adulthood. It is managed by the University for Industry in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

CosmoCall Universe 4.0 is an all-IP call-center platform that connects an organization with its client base through multimedia, multichannel options, including telephone, voice and video over the Internet, keyboard chat, interactive voice response, voice mail and fax.

Connexions Direct is hosted by Cable & Wireless in association with Ezeehelp on its IP-based network.

The contact-center system offers a variety of capabilities, including inbound and outbound IP-based automatic call distributor telephony, online customer contact management and CRM.
