NeuralWorks Predict 3.0 from NeuralWare is an integrated, state-of-the-art platform for rapidly creating and deploying prediction and classification models for business intelligence applications. Predict combines neural network technology with genetic algorithms, statistics and fuzzy logic to automatically find optimal or near-optimal solutions for a wide range of problems. Predict incorporates years of modeling and analysis experience gained from working with customers faced with a wide variety of data mining, analysis and interpretation problems. Predict 3.0 represents a complete upgrade of its intuitive user interface. All command and parameter views follow a property page paradigm, with related features and functions collected in easily identified pages. Also new in Predict 3.0 is a Kohonen Self Organizing Map (SOM) that allows development of sophisticated models that group data records sharing similar trends or patterns. A Japanese version of Predict 3.0 is currently available, and other localized versions are already in the works.

Sypherlink: Harvester from Sypherlink is a new technology that enables multiple data sources to appear as a single virtual database. Harvester applies advanced heuristics to reduce the amount of resources and domain expertise required and automates many of the manual tasks necessary today, thus resulting in significant savings of both time and money. Once Harvester automatically identifies the inter- and intra- database relationships, users can utilize the output as a virtually centralized, ODBC-compliant database. Additionally, the "maps" created can be easily compiled so that existing electronic data interchange (EDI) and enterprise application integration (EAI) tools can be used for the translation, transformation and communication requirements.

Sypherlink: Assistant from Sypherlink is a turnkey browser-based software application that enables organizations to effectively and cost-efficiently comply with the complex requirements of the Federal HIPAA Privacy Regulations. By utilizing Assistant, organizations are able to appropriately manage consents, authorizations and business agreements while complying with the "minimum necessary," disclosure reporting and auditing requirements of HIPAA.

Sun Microsystems, Inc.’s SunPlex environment for Oracle9i Real Application Clusters, Oracle’s next generation cluster technology, will provide customers with: greater performance and scalability; reduced time and effort installing and upgrading each node; real-time access to the database from any node; virtually linear scalability; and enhanced failover services. It is designed to deliver the highest level of availability for customers and application services. Through the use of Sun's Remote Shared Memory (RSM) technology and high-bandwidth low- latency interconnects, Oracle9i Real Application Clusters is optimized for superior application communication across the nodes in a cluster. Oracle9i Real Application Clusters is the first software to integrate with Sun's RSM Application Programming Interface (RSMAPI) messaging model. Sun Cluster 3.0 software with Oracle9i Real Application Clusters provides customers with higher utilization of cluster resources.

PerfMan for UNIX Modeling Suite and PerfMan for Windows Modeling Suite from Information Systems Manager, Inc. help organizations significantly reduce business risk and improve the availability of critical applications. Both suites allow users to plan and model the impact of business changes across their entire environment before changes are implemented. By modeling proposed server changes, disk storage consolidations, workload changes and server processor upgrades, information technology (IT) organizations can eliminate potential business outages, calculate potential software costs and ensure that service levels will be met. When used in conjunction with other PerfMan products for the OS/390, z/OS and storage platforms, PerfMan’s modeling suites for UNIX and Windows provide an enterprise-wide view that help to significantly reduce the risk of changes to highly interconnected IT environments.

CosmoCall Universe from CosmoCom Inc. enables insourcing and co-sourcing service options with a cost-effective, pay-per-use pricing model on CosmoCom’s all-internet protocol (IP) contact center platform. The outsourcing solutions allow agents to access flexible services that were previously only available at a premium cost. An outsourcer can provide full infrastructure and support services while offering customers the option to house all or part of the contact center operation within their own premises. This procedure, also called insourcing, addresses quality and control concerns some customers may have for sensitive operations. Co-sourcing is a solution for two-tier customer care service that leverages an outsourcer’s customer care services but is supplemented by the customer’s on-site contact center. Calls can be distributed to either the customer’s staff or the outsourcer’s agents according to call type, skill requirement, shift or any combination of criteria.
